Meet IET® MI Trainer Dan Lupacchino

From Glastonbury, CT, USA

What first brought you to IET®?
I was in crisis! I have a very emotionally and physically overwhelmed teenager, that was desperate for support in coming to terms with traumas I’ve experienced in my life as well as stepping into and accept my true self. A tall order for any teenager. I went to see one of my teachers, and she suggested we try a healing modality called IET, which became a profound experience of transformation for me.

How long have you practiced IET and tell us about your journey in the modality?
I have been practicing IET for over 15 years. I learned IET in conjunction with my Reiki training as my teacher offered both. I loved learning IET but that the time it was a hard sell to clients. Later entering higher education my healing work had to take a seat on the back burner. A few years later when I opened my massage practice, I started offering IET to clients, and the modality really took off for me and those I worked with. IET has been my go-to system for my own self-healing and supporting others. Beyond sharing IET in sessions and classes, IET has taken me to greater depths of my reach, through public speaking at fairs, expos, interviews, TV shows and teaching abroad in the UK.

If you are a practitioner of other modalities, tell us about them and what do you find unique about IET?
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Usui/Shamballa Reiki Master Teacher, and a medicinal aromatherapist. I have trained in various other modalities over the years. I look at energy work and different modalities like branches on a tree of healing, all stemming from the same source but each unique and special. I find IET unique in its gentle way of supporting us. Healing doesn’t always have to be profound but it can be subtle and IET as shown up as both for myself and my clients. It’s my go, to and my love affair in the healing world.

Tell us about the feedback you have gotten from those you have taught or provided sessions for.
I’m a pretty down to earth, teacher and healing practitioner. So my clients and students know I get very real with them. Most of my clients that have experienced IET find that it provides them with the space to feel safe enough to create changes in their lives. I have watched many of them shift through so much baggage and it’s a real honor to witness that work. As for my students, I often co-teacher with a fellow IET Master – Instructor Trainer, Christine Cartwright, and classes are normally filled with giggles, transformation and real-world experience and advice in supporting them. Most students are tired and excited, and ready to step out as IET practitioners by the end of these powerful days of training.

Please share a special highlight during your experience with IET.
Not going to lie. Working hard on me, to heal and sharing that with others is wonderful but being able to teach is the biggest highlight. I love teaching and watching students find their own path with IET. Now that I am one of the IET Master-Instructor Trainers, it’s even more exciting to carry on in the students’ processes.

How has your work in IET benefited you personally?
It’s helped me live. Honestly, there were times in my life when I was so low; I didn’t know how I was going to dig myself out. Receiving IET and doing IET on myself was a gateway into wellness for me. I’m human and there are plenty of times that I do struggle, but I know that IET is always there to help support me or help bring to the people that would help best support me in my own process
