LearnIET.com is a self-supporting community website. It’s focus is to connect you with students who want to learn IET and/or have IET sessions. There are several goals:

First, it is a vehicle to transmit and share information about IET with anyone in the world (who has access to the Internet)

bullet

Second, it is to share and update information, initially between Steve and the Master-Instructors, and eventually between Master-Instructors themselves

bullet

Third, it is to provide a vehicle through which any Master-Instructor can advertise themselves, their services (can be more than IET) , and the dates of their IET classes (only)

CLASS LISTING FEATURE

If you wish to be able to list your class schedule for IET classes or IET special events without having a personal webpage on the website, you can pay $50/year and get unlimited class schedule updates (you do it yourself).  To add your classes once we have "turned on" this feature for you, you simply go to the "For Instructors Only" section of the website, then to Add a New Class to your Class Schedule and then follow the pull down menus and fill in the forms.  The information is immediately available on the website (you can to to the "search by level" page for example to see the classes you just listed).

If you would like to sign up for this feature now, simply fill out the form below and hit "submit".  We will notify you when the feature is ready to use.

Access to "For Instructor Only" pages

Note: all Master-Instructors will have access to the "For Instructors Only" pages (free of charge), independent of whether or not you want a web page to advertise your classes. Also, all Master-Instructors who have an email address or web site will be linked through the Instructor’s page, independent of whether or not you want a web page at this site.

If you want a web page, the initial page set up is included in the price, assuming input is all in electronic form. 

bulletIt must be approx. less than 1.0Mb total (including graphics) - don't worry, I can't imagine that being a limitation for what you want to put on the page - we can work together if it looks like there are too many graphics or whatever (that is what usually takes the most space)
bulletGraphics must be .jpg or .gif, (and using compression is fine if you want to)
bulletGraphics can be either color or b/w (color usually looks nicer on the web)
bulletYou can change your overall web page up to 2 times a year (remember, this is just the frame work for your class dates that you can change as often as you want to).  Changes to contact information (name, address, email, phone) can be done as often as you need.
bulletRemember that the "generic" IET class descriptions are already on the home page, so you don’t need to repeat that information on your web page

If you do not have access to create electronic form input (email or other attachments), I suggest seeing if another Master-Instructor will work with you to generate it. Many Kinko’s will also work with you to generate the input. As a last resort, I can generate the page for you from information you have on paper.

If you are interested in a webpage, we suggest the following process:

First: We always suggest you take the time to look at some of the other people's webpages on the LearnIET website to see what you like and what you don't like - it makes it easier to make sure you love the results.

1)When you are ready to start, please send carmitage@learniet.com  the following information to put on your page - it can be long or short, your choice (by email is better, but by regular mail will work, too):

    a) a bio about yourself - who you are, your experiences, qualifications, etc.

    b) a description of services (and/or products) that you offer

    c) a picture of yourself for the top of the page - color is better

    d) the name of your business, if any and logo, if any

    e) contact info that you want at the top of your page (location - how do you want it? city and state? exact address? phone number, email, website, etc, etc

    f) any preferences you may have related to fonts, colors, etc

    g) if you have a class scheduled already, you can tell me the information about it to include on the website (date, time, location, cost, class name,etc) - you can look at someone's webpage to see the list of info I need.  After your website is up and running you can add classes to it yourself, at any time (described in your Masters manual, or just follow the instructions in the For Instructors Only section.

2) Then, after I receive yout input, we will put together a draft version of your page and tell you when it is ready to look at

3) you look at it and we can go back and forth as many times as you want until you love it!
