Dear Karen:         I had my first and second attunement in one weekend and the third one, one week after that. Now, on my way to the Master-Instructor attunement I've noticed that I feel I would like to do this differently because I experienced some heavy emotions and changes in my life. Would it be okay to leave more time between the different attunements? Is there an ideal time between them or can I just choose this intuïtively.

From Karen:            The time between attunements should be 24 hours or more.  There can be as much time between attunements as you would like. Some IET MI teachers teach one level IET class a month, therefore, students receive one attunement a month.  Others teach two levels in the same weekend. Either is fine.  The timing between attunements may be left to your intuition as long as there is at least 24 hours between attunements.  An attunement does often bring about changes and the release of emotions as you noted.  I would advise you as a upcoming IET instructor to suggest to your students that if they feel that things like you described come up as a result of the attunements that they give themselves an IET session or better still receive an IET session from another IET practitioner.

Dear Karen:         I recently had IET Basic level training and plan to take the Intermediate in about a month. For almost a week that followed, I felt overly emotional and crying too easily, similar to PMS feelings. I never experienced this after receiving IET treatments. Do you think it could have been related to the attunement? I have not had much time to practice yet, but have practiced on myself, and so far I am feeling nothing in particular when I do so. I am hoping and trying to trust that more will come with practice. Also, is the practice of heartlinking w/ an angel something that can also be useful, in your opinion, before doing meditations or other such practices (even yoga?) or should it be reserved for IET?

From Karen:            The attunement for Basic IET does activate the physical and emotional pairs of the Spiritual 12 Strand DNA so your reaction, although not common, is possible. I would suggest that if you experience this again with sadness or any other emotion that you do an IET session on yourself or have someone work on you to release the feelings that you are experiencing.

Heartlinking is very helpful and useful with other techniques. I always heartlink before meditating. Heartlinking before yoga or meditation is a great idea!

Dear Karen:         I recieved my advanced level IET certificate last May but have not had the confidence to physically try it on someone yet, everyone is asking me now but I'm afraid I have left it too late and will be unable to perform it on someone properly. Does your energy channels close up if you are not regularly practicing?

From Karen:            The IET attunements that you receive as a part of the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced level classes are permanent. The attunement is the power behind the session. You may need to review the techniques in your book, but you are always ready to do a session, energetically speaking!

Dear Karen:           Hi, I am 42 and worked with different healing systems and made a potpourri of the parts that really work good for me during healing sessions. I followed Reiki till Master level in two systems, Silva Mind, Siva Healing, Energetic healing, NLP, Touch for health, Kinesiology,.... What can I expect that IET will bring more for me ? I feel some connection with an angel but he/she is not one of the better know ones :-) and till now I can not communicate directly with it. I also have a connection with St.Germain. Thank you in advance for your reply.

From Karen:            Thank you for your inquiry about IET. Your question is a good one and one that would require me to write several pages. IET is a very unique healing modality. I have personally seen it change the lives of many students and clients and it has made a tremendous difference in my life as well. I have two suggestions for you to
help you better understand IET . . .

1.On our website www.LearnIET.com you will find a subject called Articles about IET. Randy Blair's article would be one that I would suggest that you read as well as any other that may catch your attention and interest. There is also a tremendous amount of information about IET on this website.
2.My second suggestion would be that you have an IET session. On the website, there is a subject box indicating Directory of Instructors. There are several instructors listed in Belgium. I hope that one of them is near you or could direct you to an IET practitioner who is near where you live. You would then have a first hand experience of how IET differs from other healing modalities.   Good luck and enjoy your IET session!

Dear Karen:           I would be grateful if you can explain the word energy field.

From Karen:            The term energy field in Integrated Energy Therapy refers to the space outside of your physical body. The first area up to a foot away from your body is the phsyical layer. It contains somatic sensations related to injury, trauma, and disease. The next layer of the energy field is the emotional layer, just beyond the physical layer and it contains feelings and emotions. The next layer out beyond the emotional layer is the mental layer and it contains thoughts, ideas, and beliefs.  The next layer of the energy field is the spiritual layer or the karmic layer and it contains soul lessons and past-life trauma.    I hope that this helpful to you.

Dear Karen:           How can you deal with negativity and/or people so? What do the angels say? How do you deal with peoples' conditioning? (Like the old paradigm?)

From Karen:            In IET we have a technique called a heartlink. A heartlink is a special connection with your angel or angels of healing. It is a very powerful way to help situations like you describe in your question. I have found that it is always helpful to send love to people and try not to judge them for where they are or what they are doing.

Dear Karen:           I am 23,female,and about to have my first IET session soon. What kind of effects are the most noticeable after the first time? I know the angels are near me because I can feel it, and I know this is something my soul has been wanting to have for awhile. It is no accident that this is in my life at the moment, and I have been on a
spiritual path since I was 18.

From Karen:            Congratulations on exploring your spiritual journey! I am sure that you will greatly enjoy your first IET session. I would expect that you will feel relaxed, recharged, and refreshed after your session. You may experience a sense of being lighter and feel the presence of the angels near you.

Dear Karen:           I have received several IET treatments as a client, and due to the positive effects I would like to be trained eventually. My question is, does the fact I have health issues mean this would in some way hinder my effectiveness as a practitioner (or as a learner of the IET levels)? The woman who gave me my treatments once mentioned that she had had similar health issues herself--just before she became certified in IET, I believe--and that she worked on making herself fully "clear" and healed before she pursued learning it fully--at least that's what I think she meant. Thanks!

From Karen:            In answer to your question . . . I think it would be a tremendous benefit to you to take the IET classes. It is a wonderful way to work through issues and heal yourself. In the classes, you receive and give sessions. The attunements also help you clear your energy field. Thus, you do not have to be fully "clear" before you take a class - the class will help you clear.  Remember we are all on the path of healing. Best of luck on your healing journey.

Dear Karen:        I am concerned about farm animals, in addition to the more traditional "pets" covered in "IET for Pets" manual.  Can the same techniques be used on these animals as well?

From Karen:        Yes, the same techniques apply - for example, the location of points on a pig are similar to those of a dog.  For a cow, similar to a horse.

Healing our Planet by Reducing Factory Farming

The Vegetarian/Vegan Choice: Choosing to Heal the Planet by Ending Animal Cruelty

Animals have nine integration points as taught in the IET for Pets program.   Cats, dogs and horses benefit from the healing energy of the Angels, as pets can take on human emotional issues.

But what about farm animals and livestock, who are not as fortunate as our beloved pets?   Cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys are the most abused animals on the face of this planet, as they live their entire lives in terrifying and painful conditions.  What can we do to help alleviate and put an end to this cruelty?  Millions of people have answered this call for greater compassion and as a result, have adopted a healthier, cruelty-free way of eating.

Environmental pollution is not only caused by toxic waste dumped in rivers or through soil contamination; animal waste from livestock also creates a great deal of contamination which is dumped in our water, soil, and even through methane gases released in the air.  The excessive breeding and farming of cows, pigs and poultry means the cramming and transport of animals into small, filthy spaces and the rapid processing of these terrified animals on the production line to slaughter, before reaching the butcher.  Hence regulations ensuring the safety of meat consumption are far from guaranteed, as hormones, antibiotics and numerous bacteria are passed along into the meat destined to be sold on the market.

Animals are reportedly mistreated, and if they survive the farming and transport, they are slaughtered, often inhumanely. Regulations are often not respected and as a result many animals remain fully conscious throughout the slaughtering process, until the actual cutting.  Dairy cows are not spared from this process and are slaughtered for hamburger meat.

Discouraging this type of market means protecting our own health, our children's, as well as the environment.  Producing more soya, grains and vegetables for human consumption instead of feeding cattle would mean reducing world hunger and famine and keeping green spaces clean.  Changing our source of protein from animal to vegetarian, means creating a shift in our relationship with animals and the Earth itself.   Adopting a vegetarian and vegan way of life means breaking the myth about the necessity of having meat in our diet, as well as ending unnecessary animal suffering and environmental abuse, so all can benefit in the end.

May the compassionate healing energy of the Angels open our hearts to this greater understanding, and enable us to reach out and protect the innocent ones who are truly suffering in silence.

Dear Karen:           I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT INTEGRATED ENERGY THERAPY.  I AM RECENTLY READING BUT I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE KARMA.   I DIDN'T FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS?

From Karen:            Thank you for your inquiry! You may learn more about Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) on the web site than I could print in this email! However, a little about Karma as we see it . . .

In IET, we see Karma as situations that we put into place in our lives so that we may heal from issues and behavior patterns that we have been working on for many life times. We often see these issues or behavior patterns as being huge mountains or impassable road blocks. The Karma clearing process that we do helps reduce the mountains to small hills and the road blocks to speed bumps. In other words, the Karma clearing process makes it easier to heal from the repeated patterns that no longer serve us in our lives. Doing the process either eliminates Karma that is ready to leave or invites situations into our lives to help us move on from these things but we invite them into our lives in a gentle way. I hope that this is helpful to you. You can order the tape from The Center of Being and listening to the tape will give you the benefits that I have written about.

Dear Karen:           Have you frequently seen women clients beginning their periods earlier than usual after IET work? Is this something you might add to the list of things to tell a client they might experience?

From Karen:            In answer to your question . . . from my experience, I have not seen that happen with the women clients that I have worked on.

Dear Karen:             I would like to ask if an increased awareness of angels in your life is an additional healing with IET.The majority of my clients report this which is truely healing for them and me. Also is there a surge of angelic activity on the planet at the moment? I often wake at night with angels all around me. THANKS

From Karen:            Yes, I would definitely say that an increased awareness and presence of angels is another benefit of IET. From my experience I would say that there is an increased presence of angelic beings now. The world right now needs them as we rebuild from the events of the past few years. The angels are here to help us move from a state of fear into a feeling of trust, love, and expansion. Invite and enjoy their presence!

Dear Karen:             What is the difference between dowsing the chakras & IET energy points and using the pendulum to direct the IET ray for clearing? Also, what is the significance of St. Germain in IET?

From Karen:            At its simplest level, Dowsing is a diagnostic tool to determine whether an energy area is open or closed. You can use dowsing to measure the chakras, as well as the IET cellular memory areas prior to doing an IET session. Just like when you dowse the chakras, you can also dowse the Integration Points or the actual cellular memory areas, and the readings should be the same either way. It is interesting that most of the cellular memory areas (kidneys, stomach/adrenals, heart, throat/neck, third eye, crown, soulstar) align exactly with the chakras, so in those cases, dowsing the chakras is also dowsing the IET cellular memory areas. The liver/spleen and shoulders are the only ones that don't correspond. You can dowse them separately.

Using the pendulum to direct the IET energy ray is a technique based on the work of master dowser Walter Woods to use the pendulum to not only direct clearing, but to monitor the progress of clearing as it happens. It is a "hands off" technique done by holding the pendulum over the area that you wish to clear and working by intent rather than touch. IET Master-Instructor Mary Oakley presented a wonderful workshop on this topic at our 2002 IET Master-Instructor Retreat. You can purchase the tape of her lecture (tape number 6) for $7.00 on-line at our website at http://www.learniet.com/friday_lectures2002.htm

The St. Germain poster is a wonderful representation of the IET angelic energy and heartlink. It is great way to show students what is happening when they heartlink to their angel or angels of healing.

Dear Karen:             I have done all three levels of IET and recently while practicing on friends two of them got a stabbing feeling in their heads similar to pins and needles only stronger and with one friend it has lasted for a few weeks, not there all the time it comes and goes.  I was wondering if it is something to do with the healing or is
something else going on?

From Karen:            I have not heard of this happening before, nor have I had any thing like this happen with the clients that I have worked on. I have had clients experience pin and needles in their arms or legs, but it disappears shortly  after having that area worked on or by the end of the session. In this case, it does sound like something is being
released. Releases do sometimes occur over time.  I suggest they come in for another IET session to accelerate their release.

Dear Karen:             I have been recently trained to the advanced I.E.T level and was wondering do you have any advice on how to improve and deepen my connection to I.E.T and the angels?

From Karen:            I have found that with most people, the more they practice IET and work with the energy of IET, the more their connection and awareness begins to deepen. Also I suggest that you organize in your area (if there are other IET students) regular "IET shares".  "IET shares" are just informal meetings of IET practitioners  - usually an hour or two at someone's home and people bring massage tables, or you can use chairs, pillows, etc - and then practice on each other.  IET shares are very beneficial to IET practitioners. It gives them a chance to give an IET session and receive an IET session, therefore, giving you and others another way to practice IET.
Working with the angel cards and inviting The Healing Angels of the Energy Field into your daily meditations will also help deepen your connection with them.

Dear Karen:              Do you have Classes that can be accessed via the Internet? I am a Reiki Master/Teacher and I am always seeking to learn.

From Karen:            Thank you for your question. No we do not have classes that we offer via the internet. We do have tapes that offer some of the energy processes that we use in IET. You can learn all about these on our website. If you are interested in taking an IET class, there is a list of IET Master-Instructors on the web. I would be happy to help you find a teacher in your area if you let me know where you are from and if you are interested in taking IET classes. I have second degree Reiki and many of our students and Master-Instructors are Reiki Masters and find that IET and Reiki is a wonderful healing combination.

Dear Karen:            Can I practice IET even though I am not a Master Instructor? I know that I cannot teach it. I am trained to the Advanced level and would like to reach out and use it to those that want/need it.

From Karen:            Yes you can practice IET even though you are not a Master-Instructor. You are correct that you cannot teach IET; but you can use it on clients.  All that is required to work with clients is Basic level IET training.  By having gone through Advanced level, you are more than qualified, and can also use the additional techniques you have learned during the Intermediate and Advanced classes.

Dear Karen:              I am a Reiki master and I intent to learn IET soon. What bothers me is I don't feel the presence of my guides, angels and I don't know how to communicate with them. Sometimes words come into my head but it's my voice, so I don't know if it's my ego or my guide ! I am in a very important and difficult process for the moment : I quit the center I opened last years with some friends to be on my own, to find my way and to take full responsibility of my life, also on emotional level. I feel quite alone although I know mentally that I am not. It would be such a support to be able to communicate with my angels...

From Karen:            In answer to your question, it is sometimes difficult to "hear" the messages from our angels. It is my experience that the messages that we receive from our angels are in our voice. It is helpful to check in with ourselves when we receive these messages and see if they feel right, but it is also helpful to trust that what you are hearing is a message from your angel. What I mean by 'right' is that when you hear the message, you may feel filled with joy, may get chills, tears, or just have a sense that these are the right words for you. Angels also 'speak' to us in other forms such as the next song that you hear on the radio, a message from a friend or stranger that just seems right, or even the next article that you read in the paper or magazine. It helps for us to pay attention to all things around us when we are looking for answers. One thing I do know for sure, you are not alone. Your angels are there for you . . . you just need to ask them for help, trust, and be patient. The angelic plan does not always match what we think or it may not be on our time table. What you are trying to do at this time does often bring up many fears, but it also sounds like you know that it is the thing that you need to do, for you! Also when you take IET, I am sure that you will experience and even stronger sense/communication/presence of your angel or angels.

Dear Karen:              I hope you can help with a question I received from a student of IET.  We are used to giving clients a few minutes just resting on the energy table following Reiki before grounding them.  My impression is that with IET we do not leave the person for this long and my student has asked WHY ?

From Karen:            I think the the experience with each client varies. In my practice, I have people who begin to get up immediately after I hold their feet and then I have others that like to lie on the table for a few minutes before sitting up and before I do the final grounding and balancing for them.  Some people are all set, energized and ready to go others like to just stay on the table and come back slowly or talk about what they experienced or ask me what I found was going on in their energy field.  Either way is completely acceptable.

Dear Karen:              I am even more excited about IET after teaching the Intermediate Level!!! Two questions came up today - when we are working on a pregnant woman are we to have the intention to just work on the mom or do we include the baby - or are they 2 separate entities to be worked on?

From Karen:            I had a client that was pregnant and we always include the baby in the session. You are never too young or too old to receive and benefits of IET. The baby and the mother are two separate people, but both can be worked on at the same time. The one thing to remember here is not to place your hands directly on the clients tummy as the baby is small and will receive the benefits of IET quicker. It is advisable to hold your hands about an inch or two above the clients abdomen when you are working on that part of the body.

Dear Karen:              Is it a good thing to do IET on a person near death?

From Karen:            Yes, it is definitely a good thing. It eases the transition and makes the person much more comfortable. You may want to use a teddy bear or pillow rather than doing the IET session directly. However, if it seems possible to do the session directly, the person may welcome being touched.

Dear Karen:              I recently attended an angel seminar given by Doreen Virtue.Another conference attendee told me about integrated energy therapy and it struck a cord. I am a Reiki II practitioner and use it often on my animal patients (I'm a veterinarian). Is there much information about IEM use in pets? I have been looking for a way to
combine my spiritual beliefs and healing in animals (in other words, something concrete that really makes a difference). I am interested in eventually teaching clients to treat their pets (with reiki and/or EIM). Hopefully it will also open clients' eyes to the spiritual realm! Thank you.

From Karen:            Thanks for your questions about Integrated Energy Therapy (IET). Yes we have a specific level of IET for working with Pets - and there is an Integrated Energy Therapy Guide For Working With Pets given out when you take the class. The pre-requisite for this course is the Basic level of  Integrated Energy Therapy. There are 4 levels of IET - Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master-Instructor. After taking the Master-Instructor level, you would be able to teach Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced IET, as well as two other related courses: IET for Pets and Healing Angels (see the home page for more details). You would definitely be able to teach your clients Basic IET and then IET for Working with Pets. IET would definitely be a way that you could combine spiritual beliefs and heal animals. You can check in our Directory of Instructors for information about Master-Instructors in your area. Many of our Master-Instructors also have web pages where they list their class schedules. You can also contact a Master-Instructor in your area (whether or not they have a web page) and ask them when their next schedule of classes is being held.

Dear Karen:              I have just recently started practicing my Integrated Energy Therapy mainly with my family and I find that I get different physical responses within myself and from other...is this the norm ?

From Karen:            Yes, it does happen that as an IET practitioner you can get a physical response while doing an IET session. Some of the responses are:

* a need to take a deep breath
* a feeling of temperature change in your hand either feelings of heat or cold
* an emotional response such as sadness for instance if you are working in the heart chakra area . . . this usually means that something is being cleared for you and that it would be a good time for you to have an IET session
* a tingling or vibration in your hands

These are a few of the most common feelings if a practitioner does feel a physical response while doing an IET session. I do not believe that you can take on the energy or emotion that is being released by the client. You can feel the release, but I believe that the release passes through you, goes up your heartlink to the angels and is returned, as love for instance, if you are working in the heart chakra area.

Dear Karen:              Since you are both an IET Master Instructor and a psychotherapist, I'm wondering if you would comment on the success of therapy as opposed to IET. I have participated in therapy whenever I found I was stuck in life. When I was in jobs or situations that were very unfulfilling and I just didn't know what else to do to resolve any issues (which has been a frequest occurrance), I went to therapy. There have been some things that I just couldn't seem to get past that created this feeling of not being quite happy. I still wrestle with it today, since I've not had any resolutions. I recently went for my first IET session and felt very teary when starting the session. In the days following the session, I found myself to be feeling angry, and almost like a release of venom was coming out. I also felt a desire to heal some relationships in some way. While the anger has subsided, it threw me into a tizzy as I didn't expect that type of reaction. I have also found that since the session I have had a terrible back ache that just won't quit. It's in the lower back area mostly, but also at times my entire spine wll ache. I visited this site for the first time today and was very encouraged on some of the things I read and the power of IET to heal. I have scheduled another session for this coming Friday. Please comment on any part of my situation, as I welcome hearing your viewpoint. The reason I'm asking is that after several years of on/off therapy and not coming from an awfull childhood, I am puzzled why I am having many issues that I cannot seem to resolve and arrive at happiness and peace. It's very frustrating! How do you know when you have gone to as many sessions as you need to go to? Thanks in advance for your comments! I look forward to hearing from you soon!

From Karen:            Thank you for inquiring about IET and therapy. I have found that IET helps people move through their issues at a much faster rate of time. The reaction that you had, namely, feelings of sadness and anger are often feelings that come up during an IET session. When this happens, I suggest to my clients that they allow the feelings to be there with the intention of releasing them and that by the end of the session they usually find that the emotions have been released. IET is a very powerful yet gentle healing technique that allows people to release emotions that have been trapped in the energy body. It is my experience that clients feel relaxed at the end of the session even though they may have felt many emotions surface during the session. One of the benefits of IET is that you do not need to know what the anger, for instance, is about in order to release and let go of it. Many  times in our lives, emotions become trapped in our bodies and we may not remember exactly what caused this.  In answer to your question . . . How do you know when you have gone to as many sessions as you need to go to? I always answer that question with my clients by saying . . . When your life changes and begins to feel and look how you would like it to . . . This happens in stages in life too. I find that therapy is not a once in a life time thing. Many different events  in life bring up the need to enter and then later re-enter therapy.  In response to your lower backache after your IET session. The lower back area is the area where we hold the emotion of fear. Perhaps at your next IET session you may focus your intention on releaseing fear. Another suggestion would be to have a pillow or rolled up blanket under your knees during the session to make sure that your back is comfortable. I hope that this information is helpful to you. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Good luck with your next IET session!

Dear Karen:              I am a postgrad in Ireland who is looking into healing as a career. I have received IET myself and found it incredible. After just a few sessions, I am much more positive about the future.I would like to be a healer myself in the future and I just wanted to know if you think it is better to learn Reiki first before I start a practitioners' course in IET.

From Karen:           Thank you for your question! I am happy to hear that you have found IET "incredible". Yes, IET can be very helpful in assisting you in discovering and following your life's path for the future.  In regards to your question . . . I do not think that it is necessary to learn Reiki before taking IET. IET and Reiki are separate healing modalities, yet complimentary, too. If you have a desire to learn both IET and Reiki, the order in which you learn them does not influence your experience with either one. Best of luck with your plans and perhaps we will meet in Ireland one day when you take the Master-Instructor class in IET!!

Dear Karen:              I've taken the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced IET trainings. My niece who is 19 was recently diagnosed as having bi-polar disorder. Whether or not this is true I don't know, but I'd like to help her any way I can. I know I can do distance work with IET, but I usually want to have permission before I do this. Could I work on my niece without her permission -- what are the ethics here? She's in an extremely distraught state, and asking her wouldn't help things (I don't think). Also, I know that when I've had IET sessions, issues come up and need often to be worked through. I don't want to add to her load. Any suggestions you can give me would be very helpful. thanks so much.

From Karen:            In reference to your question about doing a distance IET session without permission.  The intention of doing an IET session is about sending healing energy, blessings, and love.  It is sort of like sending a prayer to the person. Therefore, you do not need permission to pray for someone -- and in effect you are actually sending the energy of the session into the angelic realm where it is held until the person you are sending it to is ready at a soul level to receive it.  They may receive it right away or at later time when it is right for them.  Whenever possible it is best to ask permission, but sometimes circumstances like you have outlined in your question are exceptions.  I hope that this is helpful to you.

Dear Karen:              Why do we always start a session at the left side of the client?

From Karen:            Thank you for your question. We start on the left side of our client because the left side of the body is the receiving side and the client begins to receive the angelic vibration as we lower it physically and also in vibration into their abdomen.

Dear Karen:              Karen, I noticed that the integrated energy channel is located in the same place as the great bridge channel of Jin Shin Do although the points are mostly if not all different. The purpose of Jin Shin Do is to balance the "strange flows" of the body, the rivers of energy that feed the meridians. I felt that perhaps IET is working with
this channel in its own way. What do you think?

From Karen:            IET does work with the meridians of the body but I would describe IET as working to release trapped emotions that interfere with life's energy and also interfere with allowing the person to live life to their fullest potential. IET is a very powerful, yet gentle healing modality. If you haven't had a session yet, I suggest you try one and compare for yourself - it would be interesting what insights you might have. Thanks for your question!

Dear Karen:              How does Integrated Energy TherapyÒ vary from Reiki? And what are the differences for application/effect to client energy/emotional needs? Can you do these at the same time?

From Karen:

  1. Both IET and Reiki are attunement based energy therapy techniques. That is, students are attuned by a Master as part of their training. The attunement permanently expands the student's human energy field to be a vessel for a specific energy vibration. The IET vibration uses a violet angelic energy ray that is higher in vibration than Reiki. IET practitioners heartlink to their healing angels and direct the angelic vibration through the IET techniques to support themselves and others in their healing. Whereas the gift of the Reiki ray is physical healing, the gift of the IET ray is emotional, mental and karmic healing.

  2. Reiki is a passive energy therapy approach. Basically you flood the cellular memory with Reiki energy and when enough energy is present, the blocks clear. As a veteran Reiki practitioner, I found that many times I would know that a client was not clear but found that the Reiki energy vibration and technique just could not reach and clear the deep blockage. IET is an active energy therapy in that after flooding the cellular memory with energy you use the powerful IET integration energy points, your angelic heartlink energy and the pullout release techniques to go in and clear even the deep energy blocks.

  3. The focus of IET is on clearing suppressed cellular memories and emotions (even karmic ones) from the energy anatomy and human energy field. IET is based on a unique cellular memory map in which 9 primary areas of the energy anatomy are identified as storing specific suppressed emotions and are targeted for clearing. IET hand positions are focused to clear the 9 cellular memory areas. The Reiki hand positions are designed to provide a general coverage to the energy anatomy with no specific focus to clearing suppressed emotions.

  4. An attribute of IET that makes it so quick and powerful in clearing energy blockages is the 9 sets of Integration Power Points. Integration power points are accupressure like points which when activated by the IET energy vibration trigger the quick and easy release of even the most suppressed cellular memories and emotions.

  5. In the Advanced Level of the IET training the focus is on using the IET energy not for clearing but for expansion. Through a series of gentle techniques the Advanced Level IET energy can accelerate ones soul's mission. When working with client's this can open the doors for them, among other things, to experience new areas of their creative self-expression and work, new romantic and platonic relationships, and new levels of spiritual development.

Reiki and IET are complementary. I actually combine both energies together in my work. While my focus is on offering an IET session, the Reiki energy flows through me as I am working. As such my clients get the benefit of both energy rays as part of their session. Many of my students are Reiki Masters who want to blend the power of the two vibrations together in their work. Both Reiki and IET have their true gifts. If I had to choose between IET and Reiki for healing a physical problem, I would choose Reiki. If I had to choose between IET and Reiki for healing emotional, mental (especially limiting or negative beliefs) or karmic problems, I would choose IET.

In terms of the effect on clients, the most common reaction to a Reiki client who has their first IET session (even from a Basic level IET practitioner) is WOW! Even chiropractors that take the IET training and introduce the IET energy into their sessions get a "What is that new thing you are doing? Its wonderful" response from their clients. I have had many psychotherapists refer their "stuck" clients to me for a few sessions. The power of the IET system quickly moved them through where they were stuck.

Clients often comment on how much clearing happens in an IET session. They also comment on how gentle it is. The focus of IET is clearing the trauma without the drama. Furthermore, unlike some energy therapy techniques, whatever is brought to the surface for clearing is cleared in the session. The client does not have to go home after the session and spend days processing the trauma that was brought up. In general clients feel happy, light, and free after an IET session.

An IET session can provide wonderful diagnostic information to a client. A Basic Level IET practitioner can inform a client of the exact suppressed emotions that were cleared in a session and an Intermediate Level IET practitioner can a client what each suppressed emotion was due to (physical, emotional, mental or karmic trauma). Clients find this very useful in understanding their healing journey.

I feel that the true measure of any energy therapy technique is not what happens in the energy therapy session but what happens in the client's life after the session. Based on the effect IET has had on my life and on the lives of the hundreds of clients I have worked with, I can best describe the IET process as transformative.
