Previous Questions/Answers:

Dear Karen:        I am having an experience with a client at the moment that I just cant seem to get to the bottom of. She is 60 with osteoarthritis in her spine, sciatica, and alot of muscle pain in her back, shoulders and neck. She has suffered grief, loss and trauma in her life. However she is very open to energy work and really enjoys her IET treatments and back massage. Now the issue is when I pull out after energising the spots on the crown, shoulders, neck, and throat we experience 'the air-conditioning' effect, but its multiplied be 100!! Also no matter how long I pull out, the breeze will not cease. When I integrate the points the is considerable heat. Now this hot and cold are really extreme and the force of the air flow is also very significant. I suppose the really issue is that no matter how many times I pull out there is no change in the effects and I am wondering if there is a further technique to extract all her issues out of the tissues more effectively. My client really wants to heal and has expressed this many times, 'it's time to let go.' Sorry for rattling on, but I hope you get the picture, many thanks again!

From Karen:        This does sound challenging.  First of all, I would offer this....your client is 60 years old and has had these issues in her tissues for a while so it will take a while to release them.  Keep doing the IET sessions and things will change.  One thing that would be helpful for your client is to do a Power burst in the areas that are bothering her.  This is a technique that is taught in the IET Master-Instructor class.  So, check your manual for the exact description. I think it will help, especially between sessions.

Dear Karen:        I have a question on the cost of IET classes. In the current economic climate I find it difficult to charge the recommended prices. I would like to charge much less to allow more people the opportunity to train, but I do not want to upset other teachers or go against Center of Being policy either. Would you have any guidance on this? Are other teachers dropping their prices?

From Karen:        Thank you for your question.  Just to let you know... even with the economic times being what they are, IET classes have been doing quite well this year.  People are seeking energy work to help them deal with things and situations that are difficult in their lives.  You can charge what you want but I would not suggest that you charge too little for IET.  It is a wonderful healing technique and the suggested fees for the classes are not really too high.  I would also check to see what local IET Master-Instructors are charging in your area and not charge too much less.  Sometimes students think that they will not be receiving what they should in a class where the charge is lower than other IET Master-Instructors.  That being said.....you can also think about offering discounts for early sign ups, bring a friend discounts, or discounts for students that sign up for multiple classes.

Dear Karen:        I have my very first class of basic IET on the 4th July and as I studying and preparing for my class a few questions that I may be asked about have popped up. 1. Page 2, Master Instructor Guide Re: 12 strand Spiritual DNA, 2nd pair determines whether we will be type A or B personality, what is type A or B personality?). I am confused as the sentence continues with (and determines whether we will be intoverted or extroverted). originally I thought that was what a type A or B personality was. 2. My second question is related to when I was doing my own basic IET, my teacher mentioned the left side as being male and the right side as being female. I did not question it at the time, but if its relevant to IET I would appreciate the correct answers. Thank you.

From Karen:        Thanks for your questions and congratulations on scheduling your first Basic IET class.  I am sure that you will love teaching IET.

First of all, you will not be talking about the DNA necessarily in the Basic class.  The discussion of DNA is for the Master-Instructor class but to answer your question....Type A personality is most often described as someone who typically overworks, overthinks, and overdoes everything, someone who finds it very difficult to relax and just "be".  Type B personality is someone who is more relaxed and can enjoy life.  An introverted person is someone who may be typically described in terms of being shy... someone who does not talk in groups, is not the life of the party.....may be comfortable being at the party but may only engage with one person at a time and really prefers smaller gatherings of people. An extroverted person is someone who can go anywhere and feel totally comfortable with just about any situation and can engage with one or many people... someone who does not mind being at the center of the group or party or the center of attention.  The implication here is not that one is better than the other.... just that sometimes it is nice to be a blend of both.

As far as the sides of the body, the right side is the male side of the body the assertive side the doing side.  The left side of the body is the female side and the being side of the body.  In other words, we commonly think of the right side of the body as the side that gives out and we commonly see people who are more comfortable with doing things rather than just being...just being who they are. Sometimes people feel that they need to "do" for people ... that is why people like them because of what they do for people.  The left side of the body is related to being... to being who you are.. to just being with someone and realizing that people like you because of who you are and only for what you "do" for them.  The left side of the body is also the receiving side.   Again, it is best for us to be in balance with giving and receiving.... doing and being.

Dear Karen:        Do I really need to subscribe for my own web page in order to have my classes listed in your web page? I do not want to have a web page in the present moment , but I think it is important to have my classes listed in the section "Find a Class" because your website is supposed to be the best place to offer to the public the most complete and thrustful information about IET. How does that works?

From Karen:        Thanks for your question.  You will be pleased to know that we have created a new way of listing your classes and it is just what you are looking for.  Below is the information that can be found on our website under "For Instructors Only". You can contact The Center and sign up for this new feature. Thanks for asking and I wish you the best with your class listings.  You are right... being able to list your IET classes on our website is a great way to let people know what IET classes you are teaching.

CLASS LISTING FEATURE

If you wish to be able to list your class schedule for IET classes or IET special events without having a personal webpage on the website, you can pay $50/year and get unlimited class schedule updates (you do it yourself).  To add your classes once we have "turned on" this feature for you, you simply go to the "For Instructors Only" section of the website, then to Add a New Class to your Class Schedule and then follow the pull down menus and fill in the forms.  The information is immediately available on the website (you can to to the "search by level" page for example to see the classes you just listed).

Dear Karen:        When I give the attunements to just one student is it necessary to do it 3 times (as for Reiki) or just the once ?

From Karen:        Thank you for your question.  It is only necessary to do an IET attunement once per student. This is true whether you are teaching a Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced level class, or whether you are attuning one student or many students.  You can review the IET attunement process in your Master-Instructor manual on pages 19 through 21. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Dear Karen:        I have a quick question regarding Heartlinks.  I do this frequently, and very often with a specific friend of mine who has an amazing natural ability to channel divine energy.  Do you think that using crystals can "boost" the energy of the Heartlink as it transcends?  Would you incorporate the use of quartz (or other) crystals into the practice of the energy exchange?

From Karen:        Crystals are wonderful amplifiers of energy. Each crystal (quartz, selenite, hematite, etc.) has its own healing gift. I tried using crystals in my IET work and I found that they are  wonderfully compatible with angelic IET energy. I did, however, find that crystals that are used for healing work must be cared for and properly cleansed for each use. I also found that crystals seemed to have a mind of their own and I personally found that I did not know enough about crystals in healing work to let me comfortably focus on the healing angels, the cellular memory areas, the integration points, and crystals too. So, I stopped using them. I do know of people who are very skilled in Crystals who have not trouble incorporating them into their IET work and have wonderful results doing so.

If you wanted to work with a crystal and keep it simple, I would suggest using a clear quartz crystal. Clear Quartz amplifies a very high vibration energy and would be a good general purpose healing crystal to use with IET energy.

Dear Karen:        I was hoping to teach the Healing with the Angels workshop over a 8 week period. Could you make any suggestions as to how I could do this with each class being about an hour and a half long?

From Karen:        Thank you for your question.  I would suggest that the first night be an introduction to IET, talk about where the Healing Angels originated from, teach the angelic heartlink and the human heartlink, and invite Ariel for the first angel.  I would then introduce one angel each week . . . doubling up on two angels on one of the weeks.  In order to use the hour or hour and a half each week, I would suggest that you give background on the issue that the angel clears ex.  for Gabriel  . . . talk about distrust and how when there is distrust it interferes with wisdom and intuition and creates feelings of doubt and hinders the ability to make choices, etc.  and anything in your own words about your understanding of distrust.  Give the participants time to work in groups of two or three to share their understanding of distrust and how it is present in their lives at this point.  I would also suggest that you read part of the message from the angel that you are working with that night.  The message I am talking about is the one in italics in Stevan's book The Healing Angels of the Energy Field.  This would take up more time on the nights that you were only calling in one angel.

Dear Karen:        I am running my 1st Basic level course in IET on Sunday and I have 3 people who have signed up for the course. I am a little worried as to how I am going to let them do IET sessions on each other as I have an odd number. Can you give me any ideas ?

From Karen:        I have a few suggestions.  You can demonstrate the IET session on one of your students.  Even though the demonstration session is shorter than a regular session, they do get the benefit of having an IET session. Then you can ask someone that you know if they would like to join you at the time of the sessions in the afternoon. This would allow the person who you worked on during the demonstration to have the experience of giving an IET session.   Another suggestion is that the student who you demonstrated on can do an absentee session using a teddy bear or pillow in order to get the "feel" of an IET session.  And finally, the other suggestion with this number would be have all three work together, with one person reading the manual and looking at hand positions while another worked on the third person, and then everyone rotates - so they all have a chance at each position.  That takes longer, but could work with smaller classes.

Dear Karen:        I have just done my master instructor course and im getting mixed up on when im helping a client can i do the symbols unity-kundalini-heartlink, or are these symbols only used to attune stundents. thank you

From Karen:        Thanks for your question.  I am sure that others have the same confusion.  The attunement symbols are not to be shared with students as a part of a class or with clients as part of  a session.  You can use the symbols during a session if you do a powerburst technique, if you draw them in the air and close your hands around them before you begin working on the cellular memory areas, just before you start working on the top of the head - guilt area,  you can also draw them on a particular area that you think could use some extra energy, and at the end of the session before the final grounding a balancing using the 12 Strand DNA alignment technique (drawing the symbols down the front of the body).  When you do these technques, you do them without pointing out the actual symbol.  You can express to the client that you are adding some extra energy to that area or to the session.  These are other uses of the symbols other than using them as a part of the attunement process.

I hope that this helps with the confusion.  Best wishes.

Dear Karen:       I am a recent "graduate" of the M-I Class. I am enjoying working with the IET on my massage clients. I have been presented with the possibility of working with foster kids who have been abused in various ways. Is there an age limit that I should be keeping?  How long should a session be? One more question, are there specific energy centers I need to concentrate on?

From Karen:        I would suggest that the time of the session be regulated by the age of the child.  It usually takes about 1/2 hour to work on a person 11 years old and younger.  I think that an entire IET session would be very valuable to children in this situation.  Good luck with your work.  I am sure that it will be very helpful to the kids.

Dear Karen:       I took the Advanced IET class last week and have a couple questions. First, can you do an absentee Soul Star Clearing on someone else if you can't be with them physically? And second, is it possible to create a heartbeam by intention if you're in a place where you can't wave your arms around - or maybe use your fingers intending that they represent your arms?

From Karen:        In answer to your questions.  . . .yes, you can do a Soul Star Clearing absentee and yes, you can create a heartbeam with little or no waving of the arms.

Dear Karen:       I have two questions, the first rather urgent as this mom is bringing her 2 year old for a session very soon. Her 2 year old is adopted and seems very hyperactive and sometimes angry, being adopted she does not know too much about his background but feels there is "stuff" going on, she is very interested in IET and wants me to try and give him a session. However as much as I want to help this little boy, I am not sure how to go about it as he may not lie still enough, I thought of doing an Angelic heartlink then gently do some reflexology and when he is still for a bit, do some hand placements. Am out of my depth here. Second question, Is it wrong to include the Reiki symbols while doing an IET session, would this 'water down' the power of either or both? should one strictly work with one or the other?

From Karen:        Nice to hear from you!  Regarding the two year old.  I would advise doing an absentee session on him.  I do not think that any two year old will want to sit still for too long.  Regarding your second question.  Integrated Energy Therapy "integrates" really well with other modalities.  It is fine to work with both the energy of IET and Reiki.

Dear Karen:       A very special client of mine sometimes experiences a increased pressure at the top of her head as a session progesses. I usually ask for guidance and assistance from the Angels and which has helped somewhat. Is there something else you might suggest?

From Karen:        I would suggest doing a breathing exercise with your client.  . . . you walk her through it and she breaths too.  Starting from the soles (souls) of her feet, she inhales up the back of her body, all the way up to her soul star and then exhaling the breath all the way down the front of her body to the souls of her feet.  This is the heartwave technique that is taught in the Advanced IET class only with the slight variation of bringing the breath all the way up to the soul star.  This will sometimes relieve the pressure or at least give a clue as to what it might be about.  You can be energizing, triggering, pulling out, and integrating this area on the top of her head as you walk her through the breathing exercise.

Dear Karen:        When I work on a client and go through the 4 steps ETRI I will feel the energy mowing and usually I can see it if I close my eyes- that's how I know it is moving etc. A few days ago I was doing a session for a client. I felt and saw nothing around his throat area. Nothing. All the other cell mem areas I felt and saw energy. I interpreted this to mean that he was not ready to release by blocking. Is this correct? This is not the first time this has happenned during sessions with other clients. Thanks!

From Karen:        I would say that you are right.  He may not be ready to release and I would also trust that he will when he is ready  . . . with regular IET sessions.

Dear Karen:        Hi Karen, Just a quick note. During an Advanced class attunement I received a message to infuse the basic symbol as well as the advanced symbol. What would the reason for this be?

From Karen:        I think that you received this message because there is something present in this student that needs to be addressed. I recommend that you take the following approach. Use only one IET symbol in the attunement (using two symbols is prohibited). Then, later, use the two symbols that you received in an IET Powerburst (formerly called attunement implant) and offer this to your student for his/her healing. That way you can adhere to the IET attunement rules and still honor your wonderful insights as to what your student needs for his/her healing.

Dear Karen:        I have been showing my clients how to do an Angelic Heart Link, and I am suddenly wondering if its OK to do this or can they only do it if they have the 'attunement' ?? Some of them are finding it very helpful to send a Heart Link to someone they are trying to let go resentment of. Is this Ok.? It is just wonderful to see people who would normally shy away from talk of Angels, now are excited to find they can call on them anytime for help, using IET is a wonderful tool to help people do this.

From Karen:        Yes, it is perfectly fine to teach your clients the Heartlink technique.  They don't need an attunement to be able to do it. You are so right it is a wonderfully helpful tool for people.

Dear Karen:        I recently taught my first Healing Angels class and my first Basic class and during the Basic class, I had a question come up that I'm hoping you can answer. If someone has issues around you touching them (perhaps they were abused earlier on in life), do you have to "Physically" touch them or can you do the movements above the body? And how do you handle the situation if something should arise during the treatment session? I told them that I don't believe you actually have to touch them for them to get the effects of IET, but being able to make the contact will accelerate the healing process. Could you please let me know if you have come across this situation before and how you may have/would handle the situation? And is it necessary to make physical contact to energize, trigger, pullout and integrate?

From Karen:        Congratulations on teaching your first Healing Angels and Basic IET class.

In answer to your question . . . no it is not necessary to physically touch someone to have IET be very effective.  As you know when remote or absentee IET sessions are done, they are very effective.  You can actually do an IET session in person with a client while the client is in the room with you using a teddy bear.  If the client would like an IET session but does not want to be touched, just have them sit in a regular chair and you can do an IET session on a teddy bear on your lap with the intention that you are doing it on your client.

Dear Karen:        Two questions (see second question below) which I am not clear about. Should somebody on their first visit receive only the IET up to intermediate level and only their next visit include the advanced level or can it all be done in one session and how many sessions should each person have and how much time (weeks days) inbetween?

From Karen:        I would recommend that the Arms and Legs techniques from the Advanced level be done in sessions after several IET sessions and as an adjunct when the client seems to be stuck.  I would do the Soul Star Clearing technique in a first session if I was called to do so and actually it may be used in every session.  I usually recommend that clients have IET sessions until their life changes and becomes what they are looking for or until they have released the emotions that have been identified as a fact that keeps them stuck.   IET can be done as often as you and the client agree on.  It is a gentle yet powerful technique but I have found that clients release as much as they can handle at that particular time.  Typically, I see clients once a week, especially as they are just starting out.

Dear Karen:        The other concern for me is that with the "pulling out" technique, I never feel anything at all and this dissapoints me and I worry I am not getting any results although everyone says they feel lighter and clearer afterwards. I would appreciate some advice when you have the time.

From Karen:        Feeling the release is a good thing but I would ask you not to get stuck in having that be necessary for you.  IET works and you are getting confirmation from your clients about this.  I find that feeling what is going on during the "pulling out" technique increases with the more sessions that you do but even then some days you will probably not "feel".   Keep up the good work and TRUST.

Dear Karen:        When I'm doing a session in Reiki, there are times I feel led to do a pull out. In this instance, would I go straight to the energize/trigger/pullout/integrate or would I pause to heartlink and bring down the starburst of energy and then proceed, and then continue on with the Reiki?? Secondly, as I was doing the 5 minute empowerment on myself this morning, I felt the need to do some pull outs but my time was greatly limited so I was unable to. Is it possible to ask the angels to pull out for me, while I'm in the 5 min. empowerment process??

From Karen:        On your first question, I would heartlink and bring in the energy of IET just as you would beginning any session and then do the energize/trigger/pullout/integrate and then return to what you were doing.  On your second question, I would say yes, ask your angels to do what is necessary at this time.

Dear Karen:        Recently two practitioners who have studied IET with me reported strong nausea while they were treating the adrenals in one case and the liver/GB, adrenals and kidneys in another case. It left them as soon as they finished the treatment. What do you think caused such a strong reaction?

From Karen:        Thank you for your question.  I think that the soul or the divine being within knows what is going on in that particular area or areas that needs to be released.  The consciousness related to the ego sometimes hangs on strongly to the past and to the past negative behaviors realizing that releasing it may result in the person moving forward/coming into their own or shall we say the unknown and that scares the ego.  The conflict can create a sick feeling.  What needs to be done, you say?  Well I say more IET!  Each time that the area is worked on there will probably be less of a sick feeling.  Hope that this is helpful.

Dear Karen:        While giving an iet session recently, my client reported feeling dizzy twice, once while I was working the anger area and once fear (right side). Do you know what caused this? Should I stop when this happens? Do something else? Should she not receive any more sessions? She is a little fearful of getting another session because of this.

From Karen:        Thanks for your question.  Anger and fear are both emotions that people are not comfortable with  . . . sometimes even more so than the other emotions. Perhaps in the releasing process, your client had a little resistance going on.  I would explain that IET helps you release negative patterns and emotions that are no longer needed so that the next time, if the dizziness returns, it might be helpful to breath and consciously make the decision to let go of whatever is coming up in the moment.  I would not recommend stopping IET sessions as letting go of things that no long work is usually the motivation for having an IET session.  With dizziness, it sometimes helps to gently rub the top of the head from front to back and of course gently inhaling and exhaling are always helpful.  Also, it has been my experience working with clients that the same symptom does not always come up.

Dear Karen:        I have been asked by a parent to teach his 14 year old son on my next Basic Level IET. Is this okay or does he have to be over 18 to do this course? Also if it is okay morally and legally to teach him is there a different pricing structure for under 18s? Thanks for your time. In all love, Alice Gallagher MI Cork, Ireland 2002 MI class.

From Karen:        Thanks for your question.  It is fine to teach a 14 year old in a regular Basic Level IET class.  It is not really the age but the desire and the maturity level of the student that matters.  Will he be a part of a group of people taking IET?  From a legal perspective, if you are teaching him in a class by himself, I would suggest that one of his parents be there, too!  As far as the class fee, I do not feel that you need to adjust the fee but that can be up to you.  Have fun and isn't it wonderful to have IET offered to someone of that age!

Dear Karen:        In the tape "how to teach the healing angels of the energy field" Stevan emphasizes that angels will only help us if we request their help. He jokes that if someone is drowning and the person doesn't call out for their help, the angels won't intervene. Doreen Virtue says that there's one exception to this law of free will and that if a person is in a life threatening situation before it is their time to go, that the angels will intervene. Has Angel Ariel ever channeled anything about this exception to Stevan? What is your opinion about this one exception?

From Karen:        I think that Stevan was making a point that our angels are always willing to help but we must ask for help as they do not interfere with our lives in most cases. However, I do think that as in the situation that you mentioned there are exceptions.

Dear Karen:        When I teach the Healing Angels class, do I need to mention that attending this class may bring up issues for healing and that the students may experience short episodes of suppressed emotions rising to the surface and clearing?

From Karen:        This is very true and I think that you must be aware that you may have to do maybe 5 minute Empowerments on some people if they seem distressed. However, it is a good idea to make it part of your intention that the class will go smoothly and that all that comes up for people will be handled safely and gently.

Dear Karen:        Putting to one side the fact that there is only one consciousness, one energy, is the IET raye different to the energy of the nine healing angels? If you combine the energy of the nine angels, do you get the energy of the IET raye?

From Karen:        The healing energy of each of the angels has a different vibration and this can be noted as you call in each of the nine angels. It is not the same energy as the attunement energy for IET

Dear Karen:        Is spiritual DNA actually in physical form, is it visible to the eye or is it more like energy that we can't see yet know exists?

From Karen:        The DNA is both physical and energetic. In IET we say that there are 6 DNA pairs that are what we call the 12 strand DNA (two strands form 1 pair). The first pair is physical and we say the other 5 pairs are energetic imprints in the energy field. Science however is now finding that many of the DNA codes in the first DNA pair are what they call junk DNA. This is another way of saying that they don't understand what the DNA elements are doing. Some scientists theorize that this Junk DNA contributes to our emotions, mental attitudes and more. The exact same think we say in IET about the 2nd to 6th DNA pairs.

Dear Karen:        Is there a colour associated with the 8th chakra (soul star), I am familar with the colours associated with the other chakras and just wondered if there was one associated with the 8th chakra?

From Karen:        The color of the 8th chakra is pure white light. Since white light is composed of all the colors in the rainbow and more, the 8th chakra is sometimes depicted as a rainbow of colors.

Dear Karen:        I am a new MI who has taught a Healing Angels and Basic Course so far. They were great fun and I am totally amazed at their transformations and how I continue to expand as well. My question comes from a couple students who questioned the increasing cost structure as we move through the levels. How do we address or explain what we are charging for? Do you have suggestions with regard to pricing or discounts? There were also comments about the class time and fee for Pets. Is there flexibility with class length? Thank you!!!

From Karen:       Thank you for your questions. I am glad that you enjoyed teaching The Healing Angels and Basic IET classes. There is so much energy around right now it makes these classes even more powerful.

Actually the Basic IET class should be the same price as the Intermediate and Advanced, but we offer a lower price for an introduction to IET. We are charging for the IET energy and techniques that are acquired in these classes, for the ability to do a self-healing session, the ability to work on clients, and to send IET absentee.  There is a detailed explanation of class discounts that have been offered in IET in the Master-Instructor manual. There is flexibility when working with the IET for PETS class. Some Master-Instructors have offered the class for a half day at half the fee. They go through the manual briefly and concentrate mainly on one pet. For instance, they may be teaching the class to students who are mainly interested in doing sessions for cats.

Dear Karen:        I'm an IET-master-instructor, and I also do other things with groups, like there are meditation classes, therapeutic groups, ... My question is: can I use the karma-clearing process for my whole group, or is it something I only can do for myself?

From Karen:        Thanks for your question. Yes, you can use the Karma clearing process with people who are not IET Master-Instructors or even IET practitioners. When you re-attune yourself to the Intermediate level of IET, you then heartlink to all the members of the group to bring in and anchor the IET Intermediate energy ray. Good luck with this process. I have found that it is very well received.

Dear Karen:        Since 1982 I'm a teacher at primary school, and I'm am still (halftime now) doing this.  (I'm also IET-master) I have planned my first IET for kids in november 2004; I work also with a pendulum for several years. My question now is: when you give a pendulum to children, is there not a risk that they gonna begin to make experiments with that pendulum, experiments that they can not handle because they have not yet much discernment? It's a question that I heard a lot from adults who work with a pendulum in a healing practice.

From Karen:        Thank you for your question.  I think that if you introduce children to the pendulum during the "IET for Kids" class and they are learning about angels and IET that they will get a positive, healthy impression of how to use the pendulum. In general, children are more adept at using a pendulum than adults, because they don't let their intellect influence the results.  Good luck with your class!

Dear Karen:        when i did a soul clearance on my mum,she experienced a distant thumping noise as if some one was playing music in the distance..is this normal.

From Karen:        Sometimes people experience past life situations while having a sole star clearing.  Perhaps that is what you mum was experiencing.

Dear Karen:        why do you use pendulums in the children's course?   Are the pendulums independent of one's will (conscious or unconscious will) when they start moving, or how does it work, because I have always felt I doubt the working with a pendulum? Is it different in IET then when you use pendulums otherwise?

From Karen:        Thank you for your questions.  The pendulum is a great way for children to experience and see energy.  Also it is a fun activity for kids to make a pendulum and begin to use it.  The energy or movement from a pendulum comes from a connection to a universal consciousness.  It is possible to influence the answer to your questions, but that usually is not the case the more you dowse and get yourself out of the way!  I have taught children and adults how to dowse and I must say that children are usually more successful immediately.  I would suggest that you might find out if there is a local dowsing group that you can purchase a basic dowsing book from if you are interested in finding our more information. You can also contact the American Society of Dowsers in Danville, Vermont.

Dear Karen:        The IET for Kids process was introduced after I had taken the M/I level. I'm wondering how I can learn this process so I can teach it. Thank you.

From Karen:        Thanks for your question.  I would suggest that you order the IET for Kids manual and the tape that I recorded at last year's Master-Instructor retreat.  It describes how to teach IET for Kids.  Also, if you have any questions after listening to the tape and reading the manual, I would be happy to answer them.  Good luck and have fun teaching this class.

Dear Karen:        If I was teaching a student a human heartlink would it be advisable for their partner to (blast) them with the heartlink if they had a heart condition?  Also when attuning students eg. basic level are they receiving a physical & emotional clearing on themselves?  Iunderstand they receive the attunment so that they can clear blockages & imprint positive ect but i would be grateful if you would explain this to me. Thank you.

From Karen:        Thank you for your questions. Sending a heartlink is sending a blessing or love. I think the thing that may sound a bit confusing is using the word "blast them". Perhaps you would be more comfortable using the words "send them" a heartlink.

During an attunement people do receive a mini clearing. Receiving the Basic IET attunement allows the person to bring in and anchor the Basic IET ray and to do a Basic IET session and that includes the energizing and integration steps of the IET Basic session.

Dear Karen:        My question is about IET Shares-how have you organized these...can you have more than one person treating a person at a time. In other words, can you treat more than one cellular memory area at a time or is it best to stick to the order we learned? In Reiki shares we might have 5 pairs of hands on someone. I would appreciate any and all advice you have on this topic.

From Karen:        The IET shares that I have are for 3 hours and include a sharing circle, a guided IET session
where I talk the participants through the session and then another one where they reverse roles, and then we end with a sharing circle. Yes, you can have more than one practitioner working on the same person.  We have had up to five working on the same person - one on the upper body, two on the left and two on the right.  You can treat the areas in any order that makes sense to you - and you can do "spot treatments" on a single area if you feel it is appropriate - you don't have to do a complete treatment every time.  I have found that IET Shares can both give practice, and also have fun.  So, if people want to work together, it's fine.
