From Trainer:        It is possible for the releases of IET to continue for a couple days after the session.  While in most cases an IET session releases all the energy this ready to be released at the time, and there is little if any after session releasing, sometimes issues have been held so long and so deeply that a client does not feel safe to let them go all at once. Then, later in the safety of their home setting, they allow the last bits of the energy not completely released during the session to safely release. I like to tell my clients that this is possible and to suggest that when they feel a release or something going on that they breath with the release.  The sensations of old pains, issues, and even nervousness can simply be what a person is experiencing as this suppressed energy leaves for good. It is a good thing that the issues are leaving..... I emphasize this.  Also, I let them know if they have any questions or concerns after the session that they can call me.  I find that doing an absentee 5 Minute Empowerment on the client is very helpful and takes care of any discomfort.  I have had this happen with only a very few clients but it does normalize the continued release to let them know that it might happen.  I hope that this helps.

Dear Karen:        When teaching the Advanced Level soulstar clearing, step 5 says to energize your soulstar for 1 minute. Could you explain "energize"? Not sure if the energy goes from our palms to the soulstar. Or if we draw it down into the soulstar.

From Karen:        Energizing the soulstar is done by holding your hands on the soulstar as you begin the soulstar clearing. Please check page 11 in your Advanced manual to review the soulstar clearing and the energizing step for self-clearing and page 12 to review the soulstar clearing with others.  Energizing is bringing IET energy from the angelic heartlink into the area that you are working on.  Also, remember that there is a good explanation of energizing in the Basic manual on page 2.  Energizing, the process of that, is the same in any area that we work in.

Dear Karen:        I am listening to the Secrets Behind a Great Relationship. My question is if I break people into groups to do the Heartnet process, does there have to be a person in each group with advanced level attunements? Also, if there are several people practicing the heartwave, do they have to be attuned to IET? Is it enough that I am facilitating the process and I am an IET Master?

From Karen:        Thanks for your question.  As long as you are in the same room with the groups then the heartwave process can be created with your IET energy.  Enjoy and have fun with your groups and this process.

Dear Karen:        i'm doing my first healing angel class very soon and was wondering is the energy of a heartlink stronger when your attuned to iet? none of my guests are attuned and i just want to be prepared in case i'm asked what the difference is?,

From Karen:        I wish you the very best with The Healing Angels class.  Yes, the IET energy of the heartlink is stronger after the student is attuned in the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced classes but your Healing Angels class students will also experience some very powerful energy during their heartlinks.  This is a very powerful and fun class...as I said best wishes to you and your students.

Dear Karen:        Can you explain to me how to set up heartbeams by remote (that is, when I cannot get to the location because it is in another country!!!). I know it is possible as energy travels wherever it is 'sent' but am not quite sure, do I have to do all the physical hand waving, etc or is it enough to instruct the angels to set one up? thanks!

From Karen:        You would create a heartbeam remotely exactly the way that you create it in person.  As you heartlink at the beginning, let the angels know where you want it created... location wise...then proceed.  If you are in a place that you do not want to be using your hands, you can create it in your mind. I am sure that telling the angels to create it would work, too, as energy follows intention. 

Dear Karen:        I have many class locations on my web page, but am not getting students. Any suggestions?

From Karen (et al):        Here is what I suggest.

1. Keep advertising classes in these areas. There is the rule of 3 in advertising. People need to see classes in an area a number of times before they actually think it is real. No one will know if you don't actually hold a class that has low or no response. If a potential student sees your add, then later sees it for another class at another date, they will likely think that the first class was great so you are offering it again. If they don't take the opportunity to attend your second class, by the time they see a third class, they will often think that they must sign up before they miss out on this popular class. That is what I have experienced.

2. Get someone to sponsor you in each area that you want to teach in. There is no better advertising to get your name into a new area than having a person who lives in that area and especially a person who has a center or is well known in the holistic community in that area, who will get out the word about your class to the local community. In the early days of IET, my teaching spread to new areas through sponsors. I have had individuals who wanted to take my class but who could not travel to my location contact me and ask if they could get a few friends to attend the class would I come teach it in their living room. I have also had holistic centers sponsor me to travel to their location and teach in their center. I have been sponsored by several American Society of Dowsers Chapters who helped me organize an IET class for their members. Sponsorship usually starts with your meeting a person who is associated with an organization or center. I used to attend all of the American Society of Dowsers conventions and local chapter meetings. I also rented a table at regional holistic fairs throughout the country. Whenever I attended other teachers classes I passed out my business card to anyone I met and told them I would be happy to hold an IET class in their area if they would help me. It is amazing how one person, acting as a sponsor to you, can open up a world of new students for you. I have also sent a "cold call" request to centers. A cold call is where you either write or phone a center in the area you wish to teach and let them know you would like to teach IET through their facility. You are basically inquiring if they are interested and if they are, you can explore the details (fees, percentage of profit split, who does the advertising, etc.). I have done this many times and while not every door you knock on is interested, the ones that are make it well worth the effort. I found it best to write up your proposal ahead of time. This would include, who you are, what the class is, what the class times are, what the class fee is, you provide all training material, you teach the class, you give a certificate, the student gets a manual that you provide, you pay for your travel and lodging costs, the host advertises for the class, the host registers students and collects all the money, the host provides for the training space, you get 60% the host gets 40% of the tuition (or whatever percentage you agree on).

3. Offer a free IET Angelic Empowerment Sampler event in the area you wish to teach. The best way to inspire a person to want to study with you is to let them meet you and to let them experience the energy of IET. An informal way to do this is to hold a free IET sampler in holistic bookstores or angel shop in the area you would like to teach IET in. To do this you arrange with a holistic bookstore or angel shop in the area you wish to teach for them to host you on a specific day at a specific time. The bookstore or shop will advertise your event for your (they want to use you to bring in people who will buy merchandise from the). Then on the appointed day you go to the bookstore, set up a small card table with your brocures and IET class advertisments on it and put a chair next to the table. When a person comes in to get their free Angelic Empowerment sesson, you have them sit in the chair and you give them a free 5 minute IET Angelic Empowerment session (the 5 minute empowerment is described in the Basic Guide book and we now have a new QRE - quick reference guide for the empowerment session). Then you answer any questions they may have and let them take your literature about your upcoming classes. You can also get them to sign in (name and address and email) so that you can let them know about your future events. Often time the person will go off after their Angelic Empowerment session and tell others and before long you will have a line of people waiting for their free Angelic Empowerment session. A lot of the people who meet you this way will then sign up for your upcoming classes. Whenever I teach at Omega or Kripalu I always offer an IET Sampler on the last evening of my class to all students and faculty on the campus. Not only do I offer the Angelic Empowerment sessions but I have all of my recently trained IET students offer them as well. We typically offer over 100 sessions during a sampler. Many time a person who receives one of these Empowerment sessions is so amazed by the experience that they attend my IET class the following year or they find another teacher on our website and study with them.

Dear Karen:        I have been asked to review Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels IET with a student who had already completed all of these levels a number of years ago. Due to poor advice this person destroyed all manuals and certificates but now wants to renew IET practice again. I hope to re attune this person in all three levels. Can I provide new certificates or should this be done by the original Master Instructor? There seems to be some confusion about the exact dates? It is not clear whether the student name was registered at the time so they may already be registered. Thank You

From Karen:        My suggestion would be to call The Center of Being at 845 657-7220 or email Barbara Sullivan, our office manager, at BarbaraSullivan@LearnIET.com to check to see who this student took the 3 levels with and when.  I am assuming that you are charging this student a reviewer fee, therefore, it is important that you find out that this student is a reviewer.  If she/he is not a reviewer then you would be charging him/her the full fee for all three classes.  If the student is a reviewer or an original student, you can issue a certificate from you as you would be the Master-Instructor teaching him/her this time.  If we do not have a record of this student, the student must let you know who his/her original Master-Instructor was so that we can get in touch with that Master-Instructor to verify that the student did take all three levels before.  This is necessary, as I said before, in order for you to know whether you are charging him/her the regular fee for the three classes or a reviewer charge.

Dear Karen:        I have yet another question! This is regarding class schedules. I understand we are allowed to split 7 hour class into several days of training. I am thinking of doing it in two days, but two levels concurrently...something like this. Saturday: Basic level class (AM) and Intermediate class (PM) Sunday:Basic level class (AM) and Intermediate class (PM) of course, there will be two different groups of students in Basic and Intermediate class, but I wanted to check if it would be energetically okay for me to do classes concurrently like that.

From Karen:        I am not sure why you would want to do that. In my opinion, it would split the energy. If a student is taking Basic IET, why would they not want to take it in one day....there is a conintuity in the teaching and in the practicing.   Is there some reason that you don't want to teach either class in a one day framework?  Have you checked out the website on the new teaching....example teaching Basic IET and the Healing Angels together, and then teaching Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced in 2 1/2 days.  Many Master-Instructors like these new programs... especially teaching Basic and the Healing Angels.

Dear Karen:        I have just started an IET Practice&Share Group in my area and i invited IET instructors from Maryland but i would also like to invited all IET students from all levels. Is there some way i can get a list of those students for the maryland area so that i can add them to the group?

From Karen:        Thank you for your inquiry and congratulations on beginning IET shares and practices.  I would suggest that you contact the IET Master-Instructors that you have invited and let them know that your invitation includes all IET practitioners.  All IET student data is confidential and as such we cannot share student data with anyone except the Master Instructor who taught the student. Also, we cannot advertise by email or mail any IET activities such as shares to students who have not been trained by the Master offering the event.   Just to let you know, you can subscribe to either the class listing feature or a personal webpage on the IET site and list all your IET events on the IET website.     Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Have fun at your IET share/practice session.

Dear Karen:        i have completed the advanced level of i.e.t. but am unsure how i can help my teenage son who has gone wayward and does not accept help from anybody. he is not open to IET. Is there anything I can do to help him without him knowing. He is very angry. and Can you explain to me how to manifest my dreams.

From Karen:        Congratulations on completing the Advanced level of IET.  Sorry about your son.  Teenagers have a way of trying out new identities, etc. and it can be a very difficult time for parents.  You can do IET sessions for him without him knowing as you are sending him loving healing energy and if his energy field does not want to accept it..... it won't.  Teenagers are often lost... there are lots of changes going on in their world both internally and externally.  They, in general, may not ask for help but their energy fields will accept it.  Keep a clear vision of him on his journey and finding his way in a way that is in his best interest.

A vision board is a wonderful way to begin to focus on manifesting your dreams.  You can do the heartwave technique described in your Advanced Manual after you have created a vision board.  Also, clearing your energy field with IET sessions is another way to open the doors and clear any resistance to manifesting your dreams.

Dear Karen:        I am having an experience with a client at the moment that I just cant seem to get to the bottom of. She is 60 with osteoarthritis in her spine, sciatica, and alot of muscle pain in her back, shoulders and neck. She has suffered grief, loss and trauma in her life. However she is very open to energy work and really enjoys her IET treatments and back massage. Now the issue is when I pull out after energising the spots on the crown, shoulders, neck, and throat we experience 'the air-conditioning' effect, but its multiplied be 100!! Also no matter how long I pull out, the breeze will not cease. When I integrate the points the is considerable heat. Now this hot and cold are really extreme and the force of the air flow is also very significant. I suppose the really issue is that no matter how many times I pull out there is no change in the effects and I am wondering if there is a further technique to extract all her issues out of the tissues more effectively. My client really wants to heal and has expressed this many times, 'it's time to let go.' Sorry for rattling on, but I hope you get the picture, many thanks again!

From Karen:        This does sound challenging.  First of all, I would offer this....your client is 60 years old and has had these issues in her tissues for a while so it will take a while to release them.  Keep doing the IET sessions and things will change.  One thing that would be helpful for your client is to do a Power burst in the areas that are bothering her.  This is a technique that is taught in the IET Master-Instructor class.  So, check your manual for the exact description. I think it will help, especially between sessions.

Dear Karen:        I have a question on the cost of IET classes. In the current economic climate I find it difficult to charge the recommended prices. I would like to charge much less to allow more people the opportunity to train, but I do not want to upset other teachers or go against Center of Being policy either. Would you have any guidance on this? Are other teachers dropping their prices?

From Karen:        Thank you for your question.  Just to let you know... even with the economic times being what they are, IET classes have been doing quite well this year.  People are seeking energy work to help them deal with things and situations that are difficult in their lives.  You can charge what you want but I would not suggest that you charge too little for IET.  It is a wonderful healing technique and the suggested fees for the classes are not really too high.  I would also check to see what local IET Master-Instructors are charging in your area and not charge too much less.  Sometimes students think that they will not be receiving what they should in a class where the charge is lower than other IET Master-Instructors.  That being said.....you can also think about offering discounts for early sign ups, bring a friend discounts, or discounts for students that sign up for multiple classes. 

Dear Karen:        I have my very first class of basic IET on the 4th July and as I studying and preparing for my class a few questions that I may be asked about have popped up. 1. Page 2, Master Instructor Guide Re: 12 strand Spiritual DNA, 2nd pair determines whether we will be type A or B personality, what is type A or B personality?). I am confused as the sentence continues with (and determines whether we will be intoverted or extroverted). originally I thought that was what a type A or B personality was. 2. My second question is related to when I was doing my own basic IET, my teacher mentioned the left side as being male and the right side as being female. I did not question it at the time, but if its relevant to IET I would appreciate the correct answers. Thank you.

From Karen:        Thanks for your questions and congratulations on scheduling your first Basic IET class.  I am sure that you will love teaching IET. 

     First of all, you will not be talking about the DNA necessarily in the Basic class.  The discussion of DNA is for the Master-Instructor class but to answer your question....Type A personality is most often described as someone who typically overworks, overthinks, and overdoes everything, someone who finds it very difficult to relax and just "be".  Type B personality is someone who is more relaxed and can enjoy life.  An introverted person is someone who may be typically described in terms of being shy... someone who does not talk in groups, is not the life of the party.....may be comfortable being at the party but may only engage with one person at a time and really prefers smaller gatherings of people. An extroverted person is someone who can go anywhere and feel totally comfortable with just about any situation and can engage with one or many people... someone who does not mind being at the center of the group or party or the center of attention.  The implication here is not that one is better than the other.... just that sometimes it is nice to be a blend of both.

    As far as the sides of the body, the right side is the male side of the body the assertive side the doing side.  The left side of the body is the female side and the being side of the body.  In other words, we commonly think of the right side of the body as the side that gives out and we commonly see people who are more comfortable with doing things rather than just being...just being who they are. Sometimes people feel that they need to "do" for people ... that is why people like them because of what they do for people.  The left side of the body is related to being... to being who you are.. to just being with someone and realizing that people like you because of who you are and only for what you "do" for them.  The left side of the body is also the receiving side.   Again, it is best for us to be in balance with giving and receiving.... doing and being.

Dear Karen:        Do I really need to subscribe for my own web page in order to have my classes listed in your web page? I do not want to have a web page in the present moment , but I think it is important to have my classes listed in the section "Find a Class" because your website is supposed to be the best place to offer to the public the most complete and thrustful information about IET. How does that works?

From Karen:        Thanks for your question.  You will be pleased to know that we have created a new way of listing your classes and it is just what you are looking for.  Below is the information that can be found on our website under "For Instructors Only". Thanks for asking and I wish you the best with your class listings.  You are right... being able to list your IET classes on our website is a great way to let people know what IET classes you are teaching. 

CLASS LISTING FEATURE

If you wish to be able to list your class schedule for IET classes or IET special events without having a personal webpage on the website, you can pay $50/year and get unlimited class schedule updates (you do it yourself).  To add your classes once we have "turned on" this feature for you, you simply go to the "For Instructors Only" section of the website, then to Add a New Class to your Class Schedule and then follow the pull down menus and fill in the forms.  The information is immediately available on the website (you can to to the "search by level" page for example to see the classes you just listed).

Dear Karen:        When I give the attunements to just one student is it necessary to do it 3 times (as for Reiki) or just the once ?

From Karen:        Thank you for your question.  It is only necessary to do an IET attunement once per student. This is true whether you are teaching a Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced level class, or whether you are attuning one student or many students.  You can review the IET attunement process in your Master-Instructor manual on pages 19 through 21. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Dear Karen:        I have a quick question regarding Heartlinks.  I do this frequently, and very often with a specific friend of mine who has an amazing natural ability to channel divine energy.  Do you think that using crystals can "boost" the energy of the Heartlink as it transcends?  Would you incorporate the use of quartz (or other) crystals into the practice of the energy exchange?

From Karen:        Crystals are wonderful amplifiers of energy. Each crystal (quartz, selenite, hematite, etc.) has its own healing gift. I tried using crystals in my IET work and I found that they are  wonderfully compatible with angelic IET energy. I did, however, find that crystals that are used for healing work must be cared for and properly cleansed for each use. I also found that crystals seemed to have a mind of their own and I personally found that I did not know enough about crystals in healing work to let me comfortably focus on the healing angels, the cellular memory areas, the integration points, and crystals too. So, I stopped using them. I do know of people who are very skilled in Crystals who have not trouble incorporating them into their IET work and have wonderful results doing so.

If you wanted to work with a crystal and keep it simple, I would suggest using a clear quartz crystal. Clear Quartz amplifies a very high vibration energy and would be a good general purpose healing crystal to use with IET energy.

Dear Karen:        I was hoping to teach the Healing with the Angels workshop over a 8 week period. Could you make any suggestions as to how I could do this with each class being about an hour and a half long?

From Karen:        Thank you for your question.  I would suggest that the first night be an introduction to IET, talk about where the Healing Angels originated from, teach the angelic heartlink and the human heartlink, and invite Ariel for the first angel.  I would then introduce one angel each week . . . doubling up on two angels on one of the weeks.  In order to use the hour or hour and a half each week, I would suggest that you give background on the issue that the angel clears ex.  for Gabriel  . . . talk about distrust and how when there is distrust it interferes with wisdom and intuition and creates feelings of doubt and hinders the ability to make choices, etc.  and anything in your own words about your understanding of distrust.  Give the participants time to work in groups of two or three to share their understanding of distrust and how it is present in their lives at this point.  I would also suggest that you read part of the message from the angel that you are working with that night.  The message I am talking about is the one in italics in Stevan's book The Healing Angels of the Energy Field.  This would take up more time on the nights that you were only calling in one angel.

Dear Karen:        I am running my 1st Basic level course in IET on Sunday and I have 3 people who have signed up for the course. I am a little worried as to how I am going to let them do IET sessions on each other as I have an odd number. Can you give me any ideas ?

From Karen:        I have a few suggestions.  You can demonstrate the IET session on one of your students.  Even though the demonstration session is shorter than a regular session, they do get the benefit of having an IET session. Then you can ask someone that you know if they would like to join you at the time of the sessions in the afternoon. This would allow the person who you worked on during the demonstration to have the experience of giving an IET session.   Another suggestion is that the student who you demonstrated on can do an absentee session using a teddy bear or pillow in order to get the "feel" of an IET session.  And finally, the other suggestion with this number would be have all three work together, with one person reading the manual and looking at hand positions while another worked on the third person, and then everyone rotates - so they all have a chance at each position.  That takes longer, but could work with smaller classes.

Dear Karen:        I have just done my master instructor course and im getting mixed up on when im helping a client can i do the symbols unity-kundalini-heartlink, or are these symbols only used to attune stundents. thank you

From Karen:        Thanks for your question.  I am sure that others have the same confusion.  The attunement symbols are not to be shared with students as a part of a class or with clients as part of  a session.  You can use the symbols during a session if you do a powerburst technique, if you draw them in the air and close your hands around them before you begin working on the cellular memory areas, just before you start working on the top of the head - guilt area,  you can also draw them on a particular area that you think could use some extra energy, and at the end of the session before the final grounding a balancing using the 12 Strand DNA alignment technique (drawing the symbols down the front of the body).  When you do these technques, you do them without pointing out the actual symbol.  You can express to the client that you are adding some extra energy to that area or to the session.  These are other uses of the symbols other than using them as a part of the attunement process.
